I kind of want to write something that isn’t K&C. Not that I want to give up on it, I guess. Just something else. Something lighter, maybe…
Nothing wrong with that! Obviously I’m totally addicted to K&C and don’t want you to abandon it, but sometimes it’s nice…
I’ve thought about that as well (converting RP into fic) and it’s…extremely challenging. Even tried it once, actually. The hardest part is dealing with the POV shifts mid-chapter and something even mid-page or mid-paragraph and trying to grasp that third omniscient voice without seeming trite or like you’re writing a children’s story. If you do decide to do this and manage it well, please share your secrets! Lara (my RP partner) and I have 35 AUs (well, and including canon and variations thereupon) and there are at least three I kind of wish we could transform into fic, but the actual process of going about that seems overwhelmingly difficult.
I think that I would try to avoid switching POVs if I picked something else up. K&C takes enough out of me for that. x__X If I wrote it, it would probably just be from Charles’ POV. We’ve already started breaking it into parts, so maybe I would switch POVs between the parts? But I don’t know. She (McKenna) already said that she wouldn’t mind if I did that, I think.

Uggghhh. I don’t know. Maybe I’ll just take a break from writing in general.

I think you should hun. I feel like K & C is an emotional strain. Something lighter sounds like a good plain. Give your brain a break and then you can come back to it refreshed, and write more extreme scenes =P

Well why not? If you can do it then sometimes it’s good to take a mental break. I can’t write more than one thing at a time or I get myself in a tangle, so I envy people who can :)
